..concerning myself and the first few friends I had." That line from Bob Dylan's Dream, naturally by Bob Dylan, was on my mind this morning. If you don't know that song fully, you can find all its lyrics here. Anyway, it contemplates early friendships and how we let them drift away. "Ten thousand dollars at the drop of a hat, I'd give it all gladly if our lives could be like that." I especially like the line about he and his friends being in a room, talking, laughing and singing, as it brings back fond memories of my friends and I doing that. After all these years, Ron, I still recall. We really did think we'd change the world.
Anyway, I was busy yesterday, mainly driving Barbara and Rachel as needed since the VW was - and still is - in the shop. I hope it will be done today. I also did grocery shopping, in advance of son-in-law Dave and daughter Sarah Mitchner coming down tonight. Aside from a visit, they'll take the now-surplus small freezer back to Brandenburg with them. Our weekend looks like it will be fairly decent, weather-wise, which will be nice. I may go up to Brandenburg tomorrow and help them with some of the clean-up they need to do in their yard from the ice storm, which affected them much more than it did us.
My slide viewer's bulb gave out and I forgot to get a new one yesterday, so I didn't get any picture sorting done yesterday. I hope to work on that today and this weekend, too.
I hope today and the weekend will be good for you and yours!
