Tuesday's Tune Is...

The City of New Orleans by Steve Goodman: "Good morning, America, how are you? Don't you know me, I'm your native son.." which is probably the best "train song" ever written. One: the rhythm feels like a train ride and two: the truthfulness; "this trains got the disappearing railroad blues". I feel myself fortunate that I am old enough to have actually ridden on a passenger train in the pre-Amtrak era.

The ground is a bit wet this morning so we've had a few droplets of rain. I think more is predicted for later in the day. I'm glad I got a few yard-work things done outside yesterday. It's still supposed to be near seventy today.

The VW Rachel drives to work had to go into the shop yesterday afternoon, so I'll be driving both her and Barbara to work today.

Today is election day here. We get to vote for one of two guys to replace our State Senator. Being new, I don't know much about either one and from their ads, I can't say I care much for either.

I'll probably keep working on my pictures and slides today. Have a great day.
